Pedaling toward dreams. Cycling school with the “Fabio Aru Academy”

On the occasion of the European Year of Cycling, an initiative aimed at all young cycling enthusiasts, promoted by Imago Mundi OdV in collaboration with the “ASD Fabio Aru Academy,” will be held in the Lazzaretto square in Cagliari, Via dei Navigatori 1, on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The activity, designed to introduce children aged 6 to 18 to the world of cycling, aims to convey the values of sport as a tool for growth, education and well-being.

In the first part of the morning cycling champion Fabio Aru will tell about his dream come true in a conversation with Unione Sarda sports journalist Carlo Alberto Melis. In the second part children and young people will have the opportunity to discover different cycling disciplines (road, MTB and Cyclocross), learning the basics of road safety and improving their skills, all under the guidance of expert technicians from the Italian Cycling Federation and with the special presence of champion Fabio Aru.


It will be a day of sports, fun and inclusion to raise awareness of issues such as road education, safety and sustainable mobility. Bicycles will be provided by the “ASD Fabio Aru Academy.” Children who cannot ride bicycles without wheels will also be able to participate.

The “ASD Fabio Aru Academy” was established by the will of Fabio Aru and has as its purpose the development and dissemination of cycling also through the promotion of promotional cycling sports events. The “Fabio Aru Academy” exercises its activities with sporting loyalty, observing the principles of safeguarding the educational, social and cultural function of cycling understood as a means of psychophysical and ethical training.
