The center came to life in the 17th century, in the immediate hinterland on the eastern slopes of the massif of Mount <em>Nieddu<\/em>, when shepherds and fishermen populated the splendid portion of land, which has been frequented since prehistoric times anyway. The nuraghe of the <em>Naracheddu<\/em> hamlet is the most relevant evidence. There was also a settlement in Roman times: archaeological finds are documented in the Museo del Mare.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Among the events not to be missed are the festivals of the patron saint St. Theodore, whose church was rebuilt in the mid-20th century, and that of St. Andrew, which takes place in the district of <em>Montipitrosu<\/em>.
