Even before it was a village, it was the land of the Samnites: a people who made the heights their bulwark, and who entrusted the memory of an untamed civilization to the silence of the stones. From those deep roots, history has continued to write itself among medieval castles, Renaissance churches and alleys that tell of centuries of faith and community.
