Populated since prehistoric times, some eight thousand years ago, it preserves evidence of Cagliari&#8217;s life stages, from prehistoric settlements to the domu de janas, the cisterns of the temple of Astarte, the church of Sant&#8217;Elia al Monte passing through the towers, medieval Lanterna or Sant&#8217;Elia, Spanish Poetto, to the modern military forts of World War II. <\/p>\n\n<p>The itinerary, which will take the form of recounting the 8,000 years of history that have affected Cape St. Elias, will be divided into three appointments:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Sunday, Oct. 27 &#8211; h 10 a.m.:<\/strong> Archaeologist Alfonso Stiglitz will recount the transformation of Cagliari&#8217;s landscape from the earliest stages of human settlement to the present day.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Sunday, Oct. 27 &#8211; h 12 noon:<\/strong> Archaeologist Maria Adele Ibba will explain the results so far of the archaeological excavations carried out on the Devil&#8217;s Saddle.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Sunday, Oct. 27 &#8211; h 3 p.m.:<\/strong> Archaeologist Fabio Pinna will trace the events that have affected Cape St. Elias since the Middle Ages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"COMUNE":[],"note":[],"images":[],"adesioni":[],"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-103576","itinerario","type-itinerario","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itinerari\/103576","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itinerari"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/itinerario"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/17"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itinerari\/103576\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":103577,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/itinerari\/103576\/revisions\/103577"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=103576"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
