Until a few decades ago, the fabric of narrow streets overlooked by low houses with a typical Sulcitan structure, with inner courtyard and lolla, was clearly separated from the urban context of Carbonia, of which the town had become a hamlet following Royal Decree no. 2189 of 05\/11\/1937.
