The present structure, dating from the 16th century, is superimposed on a pre-existing Byzantine building of which there is no archaeological evidence today. The perfectly oriented hall is covered by a double-pitched roof and has a west-facing gabled fa\u00e7ade, surmounted by a small binnacle bell tower. The fa\u00e7ade, facing the large, newly landscaped churchyard, has the central third in slight relief, with stone seats leaning against the recessed side thirds. It is surmounted by two overlapping, carved blocks of white marble and the aforementioned recently built binnacle bell tower. The worked blocks have depictions and inscriptions that provide some information about the building. On the long side to the south, a rectangular window and a back door open toward the middle of the nave; in the southeast corner is a buttress. The interior, tripartite by two rows of seven round arches supported by strong pillars, is completely plastered white following various restorations. The pillars, all square-sectioned and plain, have a fold at the impost of the arch. The roof is supported by trusses, while the roof covering is of brick tiles. The plan shows a pronounced longitudinal development (m.25.70&#215;12.10) with the presbytery area raised by two steps occupying the bottom of the nave. Inside the church, the original baptismal font of St. Justa, molded with a hexagonal base, and the remains of four tombs, presumably from the Roman period, made of well-squared stones, deserve mention.
