The church dates from the 16th century and is titled precisely to St. George a martyr warrior saint. The church has a single nave where on the sides are small secondary altars that are lower than the central altar, precisely built on a higher base than the church entrance. Above the altar is a statue of St. George on horseback, a wooden statue dating back to the period when the church was built. This statue has been<br\/>undergoing restoration in recent years. Inside the church in recent years some anonymous frescoes have been found.
