It fits harmoniously into the context of the other buildings. It was built with the archivolted system technique using local materials. The main facade is covered with plaster. Laterally, the building has an unflattened appearance because it has numerous buttresses that create some movement. The light on the structure creates light-dark contrasts. There are a few small windows located one on the facade, the rose window, and others on the sides, in the shape of a crescent moon. The main entrance is located on the front facade while other doors are located on the sides. The facade, by the way, after recent restoration work, has been embellished with a mural by artist Ezio Marietti depicting the procession of St. Anthony with the faithful in costume. The plan of the church has a simple shape and appears symmetrical, although one of the arms of the transept is longer than the other. Inside are, valuable frescoes that occupy the entire chancel and have recently been restored. Art historian Naitza attributes the wall paintings to Gregory Are. The feast in honor of St. Anthony of Padua is held on June 12 and 13. On those days the churchyard takes on the appearance of a real market. Until the late 1800s a palio was run for the Feast of St. Anthony, the prize for the jockeys consisted of about 8 meters of black and blue velvet.              <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":111217,"template":"","meta":{"COMUNE":[],"note":[],"indirizzo":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"coordinates":[],"images":[],"adesioni":[],"footnotes":""},"monumento_tipologia":[679,691],"accessibilita":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"class_list":["post-111219","monumento","type-monumento","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","monumento_tipologia-chiesa-en","monumento_tipologia-religione-e-culto-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/111219","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/monumento"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/17"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/111219\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":111220,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/111219\/revisions\/111220"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/111217"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=111219"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"monumento_tipologia","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumento_tipologia?post=111219"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita?post=111219"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita_mezzi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita_mezzi?post=111219"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
