Initially, before its construction, the area housed a wine cellar intended for storing wine, a product of the vineyards belonging to the same family.<\/p>\n\n<p>The structure was erected prior to the outbreak of World War I, using sandstone blocks, a material obtained through salvage from excavations made during the construction process. Initially conceived as a private residence, the house was organized in such a way that the ground floor was for daytime use, while the upper floor was for nighttime rest.<\/p>\n\n<p>When the mansion was abandoned, it was converted into the headquarters of the Is Cogas de Biddaxidru Association, thus becoming a house-museum. All the rooms, preserved in their original form, house a historical reconstruction related to the legend that permeates the town of Villacidro: that of the witches. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore spaces in the house devoted to thematic corners, including amulets, ointments, and fumigations.
