It was built in 1877 on the site where the Church of the Magdalene once stood, demolished in 1872 to follow engineer Cadolini&#8217;s urban redevelopment project (Piano d&#8217;ornato), which called for the rearrangement of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The Square was built during the construction of Bosa&#8217;s first public aqueduct.
