In 1441 the same bishop obtained permission to transfer the episcopal see from Turris to Sassari, and in the Pope&#8217;s document authorizing the transfer it is written, &#8220;ubi habet decens palatium.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 44\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>In 1517 the building was enlarged and embellished by Archbishop Giovanni Sanna (1516-ante 1524) whose coat of arms, now disappeared, existed on one of the entrance doors depicting a boar with large tusks.
