{"id":90523,"date":"2023-12-19T11:51:04","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:51:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/nivola-museum\/"},"modified":"2024-07-30T12:52:03","modified_gmt":"2024-07-30T10:52:03","slug":"nivola-museum","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/nivola-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"Nivola Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nivola Museum is an institution dedicated to the figure of Costantino Nivola, contemporary art, landscape and living traditions.<br \/>\nThe museum was established in 1995, a few years after the death of Costantino Nivola (Orani, 1911 &#8211; East Hampton, 1988).<br \/>\nThe permanent collection consists of more than two hundred sculptures, paintings and drawings by Nivola.<br \/>\nThe museum also hosts temporary exhibitions focusing on the relationship between art, architecture, and landscape, with a special focus on artists and movements close to Nivola, such as Le Corbusier, Jackson Pollock, Saul Steinberg, Willem de Kooning, and Alexander Calder.<br \/>\nThe museum grew out of the renovation, designed by Peter Chermayeff and Umberto Floris, of Orani&#8217;s old washhouse, a symbolic place of the village&#8217;s ancient community life.<br \/>\nLocated in a panoramic position on a hill, it includes within its enclosure the &#8220;Su C\u00e0ntaru&#8221; spring.<br \/>\nIn 2004 it was expanded with the construction of a pavilion designed by Chermayeff and initially intended to contain sandcasts.<br \/>\nIn 2012, following an international competition won by Gianfranco Crisci, the complex was supplemented by the addition of a third structure.<br \/>\nThe spaces of the new wing, redesigned internally in 2015 by the layout designed by Alessandro Floris, house the permanent collection in a path designed to allow non-discriminatory enjoyment for visitors with mobility problems and at the same time to offer a more complete and effective presentation of Nivola&#8217;s work.<br \/>\nThe square at the center of the complex, crossed by a line of water coming from the ancient spring and overlooking the striking panorama of the valley, is together with the park a key element of the museum settlement.         <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":61543,"template":"","meta":{"COMUNE":[],"note":[],"indirizzo":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"coordinates":[],"images":[],"adesioni":[],"footnotes":""},"monumento_tipologia":[676],"accessibilita":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"class_list":["post-90523","monumento","type-monumento","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","monumento_tipologia-museo-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/90523","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/monumento"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/12"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/90523\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":98804,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/90523\/revisions\/98804"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/61543"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=90523"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"monumento_tipologia","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumento_tipologia?post=90523"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita?post=90523"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita_mezzi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita_mezzi?post=90523"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
