{"id":91163,"date":"2023-12-19T11:50:36","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/st-michael-of-salvennor\/"},"modified":"2024-09-10T11:06:59","modified_gmt":"2024-09-10T09:06:59","slug":"st-michael-of-salvennor","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/st-michael-of-salvennor\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Michael of Salvennor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the first half of the 12th century, during the reign of Constantine I, the Vallombrosans settled in Logudoro.<br \/>\nThe church was built, presumably, by Judge Mariano I between 1065 and 1082, but we do not know when it passed to the Vallombrosans.<br \/>\nThe church is built with black and white limestone and volcanic stones.<br \/>\nIt has a commissa cross plan with an open transept in three semi-circular apses, an organism similar to that of the church at Saccargia.<br \/>\nThe hall has a wooden truss roof.<br \/>\nDuring the 13th century, in the Romanesque period, it was extensively remodeled: restored in the pediments, elevation, and arches; the portal of the high fa\u00e7ade decorated with blind arches and slender with pilasters was reconstructed.<br \/>\nThe workers are to be attributed to those of the earlier tradition in Buscheto, who in Pisa had given life to S.
