{"id":91575,"date":"2023-12-19T11:50:24","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/parish-church-visitation-of-the-virgin-mary\/"},"modified":"2025-09-15T09:34:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T07:34:05","slug":"parish-church-visitation-of-the-virgin-mary","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/parish-church-visitation-of-the-virgin-mary\/","title":{"rendered":"Parish Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Built beginning in 1704 over an earlier, smaller church, possibly from the late 1500s, it is flanked by a tall bell tower, completed in 1689, equipped with bells from the 1600s and 1800s.<br \/>It shows a longitudinal layout with a single nave covered with a barrel vault, over which 4 side chapels open.<br \/>The style is that of Sardinian Baroque, in its popular vein.<br \/>The front elevation shows a central opening surmounted by an architrave bordering a tympanum with a broken segmental arch, 3 windows with stained glass windows, and a &#8220;rifleman&#8217;s hat&#8221; crowned clasp.<br \/>The interior has walls divided by 10 pilasters supporting a denticulated entablature.
