{"id":92039,"date":"2023-12-19T11:52:12","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/fourth-royal-tower\/"},"modified":"2024-08-22T11:06:03","modified_gmt":"2024-08-22T09:06:03","slug":"fourth-royal-tower","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/fourth-royal-tower\/","title":{"rendered":"Fourth Royal Tower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tower of the Scafa was a watchtower manned by two men of which there is evidence as early as 1598.<br \/>\nIt is also known as the Tower of the Fourth Royalty because under the government of the Spanish Crown, and until 1954, a tax corresponding to the fourth part of the catch was levied there, first in the form of payment in kind and later through a monetary consideration.<br \/>\nThe structure severely damaged by a sea storm in November of the year 1898, was later rebuilt with considerable remodeling and adjustments.<br \/>\nIt originally had a truncated cone shape similar in size to other coeval towers found in the Gulf of Cagliari.<br \/>\nThe present form is cylindrical with reinforced concrete slabs to carve out two small rooms on which some windows were inserted for lighting.<br \/>\nA helicoidal staircase connects the two levels of the tower and provides access to the terrace.<br \/>\nA brick frieze is visible on the upper part of the facade.<br \/>\nThe overall height of the tower exceeds 8 meters with a diameter of 4.4 meters.<br \/>\nThe building, owned by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, underwent a recent restoration completed in late 2017 by the Regional Coastal Conservancy Agency.        <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":72660,"template":"","meta":{"COMUNE":[],"note":[],"indirizzo":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"coordinates":[],"images":[],"adesioni":[],"footnotes":""},"monumento_tipologia":[685],"accessibilita":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"class_list":["post-92039","monumento","type-monumento","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","monumento_tipologia-architettura-militare-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/92039","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/monumento"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/12"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/92039\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":97869,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/92039\/revisions\/97869"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/72660"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=92039"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"monumento_tipologia","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumento_tipologia?post=92039"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita?post=92039"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita_mezzi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita_mezzi?post=92039"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
