The temple at Megaron apparently consists of a single square chamber, the shape of which can be traced back to contacts with the East. Above the temple was built, perhaps in the 19th century, a housing structure with a large cattle pen leaning against it. A short distance from the temple a well, perhaps also with sacred significance, and a votive deposit of miniature jars were found, while the entire area was littered with protohistoric lithic tools, particularly millstones and mace heads.
