{"id":93484,"date":"2023-12-19T11:49:48","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:49:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/mutual-society-mutual\/"},"modified":"2024-08-26T09:15:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T07:15:51","slug":"mutual-society-mutual","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/mutual-society-mutual\/","title":{"rendered":"Mutual Society (Mutual)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"LEFT\">On November 17, 1901, the Mutual Society was born with its first meeting of 200 members.<br \/>\nThe unrest and protests of the ore hauling workers had resulted in the division of the workers into black hoods and white hoods.<br \/>\nIf the black hoods were animated and held together by socialist ideas, the white hoods did not yet have a social-political label.<br \/>\nTo give aid and organization to this faction arose the Mutual Relief and Welfare Association with the purpose of &#8220;&#8230;subsidizing and benefiting members in case of sickness, providing life pensions for old age, and promoting and encouraging the increase of trade and local industries.&#8221;<br \/>\nThere was concern for the education of members and their children, a music school was established, and the establishment of a marching band.<br \/>\nThere was a growing need to construct a headquarters building and theater.<br \/>\nOn September 20, 1908, a ground-breaking ceremony was held on the corner of Venezia and XX Settembre streets.<br \/>\nBy the end of 1909 the social headquarters and theater were ready.<br \/>\nIn 1912 the installation of a cinema system in the theater marked the beginning of film activity in Carloforte.<br \/>\nThe years from World War I to the end of World War II saw troubled events and moments of crisis, not the least of which was debt.<br \/>\nIn 1955 the theater was renovated for the advent of cinemascope, and later the presence of the Bar cinema and the management of public telephony created new revenue.<br \/>\nAfter renovations concluded in 2007, the venue was handed back to the community to begin an age of splendor once again.           <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":59239,"template":"","meta":{"COMUNE":[],"note":[],"indirizzo":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"coordinates":[],"images":[],"adesioni":[],"footnotes":""},"monumento_tipologia":[680,705],"accessibilita":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"class_list":["post-93484","monumento","type-monumento","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","monumento_tipologia-bene-architettonico-en","monumento_tipologia-intangible-asset"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/93484","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/monumento"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/12"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/93484\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":98436,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/93484\/revisions\/98436"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/59239"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=93484"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"monumento_tipologia","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumento_tipologia?post=93484"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita?post=93484"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita_mezzi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita_mezzi?post=93484"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
