The Byzantine-style Orthodox monastery is named after St. Anthony the Great, an Egyptian hermit and founder of Christian monasticism. Built by Father Antonio Pompianu in 2002,the year construction began. The religious structure, in the shape of a Greek cross, features a central dome from which the four arms branch off.
