{"id":93898,"date":"2024-04-15T14:47:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T12:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/li-muri-megalithic-circle\/"},"modified":"2024-07-16T11:41:58","modified_gmt":"2024-07-16T09:41:58","slug":"li-muri-megalithic-circle","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/li-muri-megalithic-circle\/","title":{"rendered":"Li Muri Megalithic Circle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/turismoarzachenacostasmeralda.it\/it\/necropoli-li-muri\/\">Li Muri<\/a> burial circle, discovered in 1939 by elementary school teacher Michele Ruzittu, we surely know that since the Neolithic period Arzachena founded its first civilization, giving birth to a real culture, the culture of Arzachena.<strong> <\/strong> The circle and necklace found in the excavations are depicted in the coat of arms of the municipality of Arzachena.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The necropolis consists of four burial circles tangent to each other, ranging from 5 to 8.5 meters in diameter. They are bordered by small slabs driven in with a knife, arranged in concentric circles, which were intended to contain a mound of stones and earth that protected the graves and gave them the appearance of a series of artificial hillocks.
