{"id":94493,"date":"2023-12-19T11:56:23","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/saddi-grippo-house\/"},"modified":"2024-09-19T18:34:17","modified_gmt":"2024-09-19T16:34:17","slug":"saddi-grippo-house","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/saddi-grippo-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Saddi Grippo House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Saddi Grippo house is one of the few Campidanese mansions still intact and original in the Cagliari area.<br \/>\nBuilt in the mid-18th century by Pietro Impera Saddi, it is located in the historic center of Pirri.<br \/>\nHere time seems to have stood still.<br \/>\nAdriana Saddi&#8217;s children, the current owners, have chosen to preserve it both because it is a place of family memories and to offer Pirri the opportunity to create an ethnographic museum of the area.<br \/>\nA central and significant place where to preserve and tell the story of the origins of a town dedicated to the production of the wine of which this house is representative.     The mansion is accessed through a wooden portal that opens onto a stone-paved driveway to facilitate the passage of wagons during harvest time. On either side are three ancient stone seats whose origins date back to a Roman-era pedestal found by the Jesuit Fathers in the countryside around Pirri. The large courtyard is overlooked by the entire architecture of the two-story Campidanese house.
