A sandstone slab, engraved in 1686, informs about the discovery of a stone in which the dates 1280 and 1583 were carved: the first should date back to the year of construction and the other to a remodeling, in which the loggia was probably built as a shelter for devotees and pilgrims. In 1966 side chapels were added, which together with the nave form a Latin cross plan.
