{"id":98004,"date":"2024-07-25T09:10:11","date_gmt":"2024-07-25T07:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/monumenti\/church-of-the-holy-cross-3\/"},"modified":"2024-09-10T09:41:03","modified_gmt":"2024-09-10T07:41:03","slug":"church-of-the-holy-cross-3","status":"publish","type":"monumento","link":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/monumenti\/church-of-the-holy-cross-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Church of the Holy Cross"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It dates from the second half of the 17th century.\nIt has a gabled fa\u00e7ade with a double cornice, a beautiful architraved portal flanked by half-columns supporting a tympanum pediment with a lily of late Gothic inspiration.\nTo the left is a small tower with belfry.\nThe interior has a hall plan concluded by a square chancel, lower and narrower than the nave.\nThe hall is covered with a barrel vault, marked transversely by three pointed arches.\nIn contrast, the chancel with a plain arch triumphal arch is vaulted with a barrel vault; until recently, as documented by period photos, the walls were decorated with a cycle of frescoes.\nThe small oratory preserves statues related to the cults of Holy Week: Our Lady of Sorrows, the Holy Cross, and the ladders for the deposition; statues of St. Rita and St. Anthony of Padua are also preserved.\nUntil 1886 the land around it was used as a cemetery.\nDocuments preserved in the parish archives, dating from the 1700s, attest to the existence of a male and female confraternity, no longer active today.        <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":69533,"template":"","meta":{"COMUNE":[],"note":[],"indirizzo":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"coordinates":[],"images":[],"adesioni":[],"footnotes":""},"monumento_tipologia":[679,691],"accessibilita":[],"accessibilita_mezzi":[],"class_list":["post-98004","monumento","type-monumento","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","monumento_tipologia-chiesa-en","monumento_tipologia-religione-e-culto-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/98004","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/monumento"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/17"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/98004\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":98007,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumenti\/98004\/revisions\/98007"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/69533"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=98004"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"monumento_tipologia","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/monumento_tipologia?post=98004"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita?post=98004"},{"taxonomy":"accessibilita_mezzi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/monumentiaperti.com\/it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/accessibilita_mezzi?post=98004"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
