Qualche cenno sull'argomento:
The Centre for Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Heritage is located in the district of Li Punti, inside a centuries-old olive grove. The Centre is divided into different parts: diagnostic, documentation and restoration laboratories, library and archive. The laboratories are equipped with avant-garde instruments for the restoration of materials coming from land or underwater excavations, from random finds, or preserved in museums and private collections. We carry out interventions, also on the territory, on stone and lithic materials, wall paintings and mosaics, metals, ceramics, glass, and organic material in general. Also this year the Centre opens its laboratories to the public who can learn about the restoration and conservation activities of the archaeological heritage that take place inside. On the occasion of the opening to the public will be presented and illustrated the work in progress, the equipment in use and the techniques adopted in the conservation interventions.
