Qualche cenno sull'argomento:
The urban park “S’Olivariu”, today the social and administrative epicenter of the town of Uta, is an olive grove dating back more than a century and belonged to the Serra family. The planting of the olive grove dates back to the first half of the 19th century.
The park covers an area of about 15,000 square meters, but it originally was much larger. At the time of its planting, in fact, it housed about 1,500 olive trees. Until the end of the 70s of the last century, the landscape surrounding the olive grove was mainly represented by vegetable gardens.
The S’Olivariu Park represents today a small part of historical greenery embraced by the urban fabric, witness of the agricultural landscape of the past, in a country where the economy has always been based mainly on agriculture.
