National Archaeological Museum “Antiquarium Turritano”

The Turritan Antiquarium, built in the 1970s and opened in 1984, is located in the archaeological area of Turris Libisonis. It shows the past of Colonia Iulia Turris Libisonis through two floors with views of the remains of the Roman city and ancient urban neighborhoods. Renovated in 2021, it includes a new section on the area’s pre-Roman history and materials reflecting relations with the Mediterranean. The exhibition features statuary, architectural sculptures, and artifacts of daily life, including those from the necropolis, with information panels on local excavations.
