Villa Santa Maria

Once in the countryside on the road to Nora, now incorporated into the town of Pula, the Palladian-style Villa Santa Maria is a fine monument of Sardinian neoclassicism. Although originally built in a rural setting, this aristocratic mansion has distinct urban features with lion sculptures at its entrance, a Doric colonnade, various friezes, and a park. It was designed in 1838 by the famous Cagliari architect Gaetano Cima.
