Càlic nature trail

The Càlic Lagoon, in the Porto Conte Park, is an important nature site in the Riviera del Corallo and Nurra regions of northwestern Sardinia. With an area of 97 hectares and a length of more than two and a half kilometers, it is located about 400 meters from the coast of Alghero. Communicating with the sea via the Fertilia Canal, it accommodates the small port of Fertilia, formerly the village of Càlic. The lagoon is dominated by the remains of a Roman bridge, later rebuilt in the Middle Ages.
