Nuraghe Nastasi

The Nuraghe Nastasi or Anastasi stands in the locality of Sarrala’e Basciu of Marina di Tertenia at the top of a hill 33 meters high. It is a complex Nuraghe consisting of a main tower with four towers connected by a curvilinear inner courtyard. It can be accessed through two entrances, one to the south and one to the east. Excavations in 1966 and 1981 returned a number of bronze “fragments,” including a directional flag of an archer, but also numerous terracotta artifacts such as a biansate bowl, a horseshoe stove, and many fragments of bowls, cups, and pans. Of notable importance is the finding of some fragments of Mycenaean painted pottery. The site is easily accessible and well marked, and admission is free.
