Villa Asquer

The historic building of Villa Asquer and its park are included in a vast green area of about 23 hectares. Since 1977, Villa Asquer has been protected by the Monumental Constraint and declared of cultural interest due to the special features of the buildings that make it the only fortified farm in Sardinia. It was the noble Asquer family in the early 1800s that brought the structure to its current volumes. Since the estate was purchased by the Diana 6 company in the late 1970s at the behest of Francesco Morelli, founder of the IED, the park has undergone a profound and continuous redevelopment that has brought it from its state of ruin surrounded by a pine forest and uncultivated fields into the well-kept botanical oasis we can see today. The creation of this place was the result of a personal project, the energy of which gave birth to, developed and materialized, decade after decade, a place pervaded by the love of beauty and nature.
