Tortolì – Arbatax

The Municipality of Tortolì, a lively town inhabited by about eleven thousand residents, constitutes a destination for tens of thousands of visitors every summer, thanks to its multifaceted territory characterized by the presence of beautiful beaches with crystal-clear waters, forests, Mediterranean scrub, gentle plains, ponds and cultivated hills.

Rich in natural monuments such as the Rocce Rosse, a striking red porphyry cliff that runs parallel to the coast of Arbatax, it offers multiple testimonies of profound historical and artistic interest: from the nuragic site “S’Ortali’e su Monti” to the watchtowers and defense towers erected during the period of Spanish domination. City monuments include the former cathedral of St. Andrew, built in the late 18th century in classical style, and the museum of modern art “Su Logu de s’Iscultura.”

Its rich food and wine tradition is characterized by dishes prepared with simple but expertly crafted ingredients, based on recipes handed down from generation to generation.
