The Salt Gallery is the first open-air contemporary art gallery in the city of Cagliari. Urban Center’s project was born in 2014 when 15 street artists painted on as many walls found in the bike/pedestrian path that connects Su Siccu to Molentargius Park. The gallery includes murals, graffiti, material installations and sculptures. This year during Monumenti Aperti there will be: a performance by Sardinian artist Daniela Frongia entitled Jana’s, and a workshop open to all, curated by Fablab Cagliari and Cultarch, of construction of an openAir and openSource installation, created from a structure designed with 3d modeling software, which will be made with recycled materials. The project is part of an ongoing openSource Structures series.
