The town of Sorradile rises in the heart of Sardinia, in the historical region of Barigadu, 356 meters above sea level. A small town of 340 inhabitants located in the of the province of Oristano, it is clinging to lush hills of the most varied shades of green interrupted, as on an artist’s canvas, by the red trachyte ubiquitous in urban and rural architectural heritage. That red that is reflected in the sky during summer sunsets reflected in the waters of Lake Omodeo, at the foot of the built-up area. The built-up area, which follows the classic canons of rural layout, has the typical elevation pattern of hillside locations. The town is rich in archaeological and historical evidence and architectural monuments. The territory of Sorradile covers 28.34 square kilometers, with an altitude that reaches 110 meters above sea level along Lake Omodeo. The natural environment is rich in forests, ancient oaks and abundant springs of crystal clear water. Near the town center, almond groves, olive groves, vineyards and arboreal pastures alternate.
