The real estate complex of the “former barracks passing troops” was built around the 1940s in the then city suburbs to house passing troops during World War II. The area consists of a number of buildings used mainly for dormitories and service quarters, which are of important cultural interest for belonging to the system of military architecture of the first half of the 20th century. Some buildings(buildings no. 1, 2, 3, 4 and the woodshed) are, on the whole, in a fairly good state of preservation, while others (buildings No. 5 and 6) are currently pouring in in a severely deteriorated condition. Thanks to a major redevelopment project, the former military compendium, only recently granted by the State Property Office, aims to become a key cultural space for the city of Olbia.
