Bosa

A town lying on the valley floor along which the Temo River (Sardinia’s only navigable river for about 6 km) flows, not far from the crystal-clear waters of the western sea, dominated by the Malaspina castle on the Serravalle hill, around which the tall houses of the medieval village huddle, descending to the bank of the Temo, which with its meandering course crosses the town from east to west.
This is the evocative landscape that Bosa suddenly offers captivating with the harmony of the panorama and the vitality of its colors: the deep green of the centuries-old olive trees, the blue of the sea in the background, the pink of the stone with which the houses in the old town center are softened, the red, yellow of the traditional boats of the local fishermen.

Bosa is also a seaside town, with its beaches with unique characteristics (the sand, which has a high iron content, has therapeutic characteristics for the treatment of rheumatism), and the many coves that can only be reached by boat, where the sea still retains all its charm.
The seafloor of Bosa offers views of rare beauty.
The unspoiled coastline offers visitors natural landscapes of special beauty that can be a destination for excursions during which it is possible to observe the slow flight of Griffon vultures nesting on the highest peaks.
The municipality is part of the Strada della Malvasia di Bosa.
