The buildings, dating from the first residential settlements of the 19th century, are part of the residential front that forms Umberto I Street, opposite the Civic Archaeological Museum.
The curtain in which the buildings are inserted offers the possibility of reading, in its original form, the typology of furriadroxius (matrix settlement) in a phase of transformation to an urban center.
These are two former rural buildings, contiguous, with a common courtyard and loggia; they represent the result of a private intervention of recovery, included in a wide-ranging project, called Sulcis, which aims to demonstrate how the protection of the historical and architectural heritage, in tune with the identity redevelopment and enhancement of the place, can be a reason for the development of the local economy, both for tourism and for a new residency.
In the buildings it will be possible to visit the new residential arrangement and learn about other similar interventions already carried out in and around the municipality of Santadi.
