The main element of the square is precisely a fountain with 4 sources of fresh water, which occupies an entire side of the square. The fountain dates back to 1884, was renovated in 1994 and decorated with glazed ceramic panels assembled to form a mural evoking the imaginary bestiary of painter and sculptor Salvatore Fancello. The work bears the signature of ceramist Gianluigi Mele, and with its depiction a tribute was paid to the Dorgali artist.
