P.AR.C. Museum. (Paleo Archeo Center)

The P.AR.C., is a Paleontological, Archaeological and Educational Laboratory Museum and was created with the aim of being a museum-laboratory. For this reason more than half of the museum is dedicated to educational activities, with tables, seating, and important scientific instrumentation with which to simulate the work of the paleontologist and archaeologist, all available to visitors. The tour and all activities always have a focus on families and children, but the very significant fossil collection makes the museum attractive to specialists as well.

The museum is enriched by the archaeological section that addresses and illustrates the important archaeological site of the deepest nuragic well in Sardinia, over 40m, located on the summit of the Santu Antine Hill.

The P.AR.C. is the exhibition venue for the archaeological, fossiliferous collections and, thanks to the teaching laboratory, is also the site of scientific research activities focusing both on the Museum’s heritage and the historical and scientific evidence of the area. In its many activities, it also makes use of the collaboration of Italian and foreign universities and research institutes, local authorities and Cultural Associations operating in the area.
