The stele dedicated to Lord Thomas Allnutt Brassey, who died in London in 1919, is located at the foot of the steps leading to St. Barbara’s Church.
Workers from the Gennamari and Ingurtosu mines financed themselves and laid the memorial stele.
Neo-Gothic in style and made of Sardinian breccia, prismatic in shape, it rests on a quadrangular base on which lions representing the United Kingdom are highlighted at the corners.
