The IGEA spa Historical Mining Archive, located at the mining village of Monteponi, was declared a property of particularly important historical interest in 1994. All the archives of divested companies from 1850 to the present day have been brought into it. Of absolute importance is the technical documentation consisting of plans, sections of deposits, tunnels, shafts, plants, machinery, and all the plans of industrial and civil buildings to which are flanked by mine reports and correspondence. In addition to the mining archives, its interior houses a study/conference room, thematic library, restoration center and offices.
