The Church of Santa Maria della Rosa or the Visitation of Seneghe was once located outside the town, and is currently incorporated into it, and is home to the Confraternity of Santa Croce or the Holy Spirit.
The oldest part of the church probably dates back to the 13th century; it is in the shape of a Latin cross with the High Altar dedicated to the Visitation at the back with two chapels on either side.
In the High Altar, in addition to the Madonna in visitation to St. Elizabeth, are the Statue of the Risen Christ and that of St. John the Baptist; on the right side is the Sacristy and on the left side, in communication with the chapel is the so-called “Pilgrim’s or Hermit’s Room.”
