A large number of hydraulic mills are surveyed in the historic Arburese region; there are currently 12. Along the watercourse “Is Mulinus,” also the name of the locality which clearly indicates the origin of the place name, is located the Puddu Mill. Made from a rectangular plan structure, it consists of masonry characterized by large granite ashlars used by other archaic structure.
The monument still retains the peculiar features typical of its former use, lending itself to clear interpretation; in fact, the hole, which housed the drive shaft, the holes in the inner walls that supported the wooden beams of the hopper and hoist, and the chamber that housed the horizontal wheel are clearly visible. The interior paved floor still remains well preserved. In an old house in the village its original millstone is preserved.
