The public washhouse in Nuraminis is an example of industrial archaeology that has stood the test of time. It was built around the 1930s, and is currently incorporated within the Nuracesus Park, which can be freely accessed. Since the mid-nineteenth century it is possible to find documents attesting to expenses for the maintenance of the Nuracesus fountain, consisting of drinking water but also used for watering animals. The spring of Is Nuracesus was reclaimed in the 1930s by the municipal administration in order to channel the dirty water from the washhouse sinks and drain it into the countryside. There are reports of the purchase of 8 stone tanks in the late 1870s. Before that time granite stones were reported to be used for washing clothes. The structure currently has two parallel rows of tanks sheltered by a wall and the iron and cast iron roofing made by the Pietrino Doglio company in 1933.
