On March 18, 1951, the foundation stone was laid for the Enaoli College, the beating heart of innovative pedagogy, renamed as the “boys’ city” of the 1950s.
A state-of-the-art building with machinery and workshops where young people, orphaned by parents who had died from work-related injuries, had the opportunity to learn the techniques of the different vocational fields, but also to follow their passions.
Over time, the College proved to be an ideal place to study, to learn a trade. In the 1960s, the IPSIA of Cagliari absorbed the Enaoli School, which thus became public, with the activation in Iglesias of courses for: electrician installer, electromechanic and mechanic. In 1971, autonomy was requested, thus establishing the I.P.S.I.A. Galileo Ferraris, which currently houses the services of food and wine, hotel hospitality and the sector of maintenance and technical assistance.
