The portal, made of sandstone ashlars and decorated with elegant fluted and notched pilasters in purple trachyte, was erected in the late 18th century with a Baroque flavor. The work, commissioned by the Oristanese Vito Sotto, reaches a height of 8 meters and is the largest and most elegant country portal in Sardinia.
