Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, the third in the country, recently celebrated its 50th year since its founding. Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, built of reinforced concrete by Eng. Ferdinando Spada, is an expression of sacred art and modern devotion, arranged over large spaces, was inaugurated on April 11, 1981.
In 1974 the first parish priest of Our Lady of the Rosary, Fr. Angelo Pittau, established the parish to serve the residents of the new neighborhood that had sprung up in Corte Risoni, and began operating using first a private house, then a small barracks located on Parrocchia Street, and finally, since 1981, the new church stood.
The church, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, is particularly bright, with light coming from impressive stained glass windows with a religious theme. A renovated room adjacent to the parish, dedicated to St. Dominic Savio, normally used for catechetical and recreational activities, was inaugurated and blessed on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
