Typical Campidanese house belonging to the Orrù family for at least 200 years. It is made of unbaked “thief” bricks. The current functional aspect of the house, typically agro-pastoral, refers to the family of Gesuino sheep breeder in the 1920s-1960s; we can divide the house into three parts that characterized the activities of the past. The front courtyard “sa pratza” with the ancient well and cellars, the characteristic element of this area is the central loggia “sa lolla.” Opposed to the front courtyard is a rear courtyard “sa pratzixedda” distinguished by a loggia with a wood-burning oven, once used for bread-making. The two-story central building contains the kitchen, formerly the cheese storage room “sa domu de su casu,” the dining room, and on the upper floor “s’aposentu ‘e susu” two characteristic bedrooms.
