Badesi

Badesi, located in the province of Sassari in Sardinia, is an Italian municipality with about 1,839 inhabitants. It rises 102 meters above sea level in the Gallura region and is known for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea, making it a popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months.

The history of Badesi is closely linked to the fiefdom of Gallura. It is assumed that the village came into existence around 1700 through the settlement of a few family units, whose descendants still make up a large part of the population today. The name “Badesi” probably comes from the Punic word “Badiaghi,” meaning “houses.”

In addition to beautiful beaches, Badesi also offers several cultural and historical attractions. These include the church of St. Peter the Apostle, dating from the 18th century, and the Lu Brandinu nuraghe, an archaeological site of great interest.
