Quiliano

A crossroads between sea and mountains, Quiliano is a municipality in the Province of Savona, which became a city in 2021.
Called Aquilianum in ancient times, during the rule of the Roman Empire, tangible remnants of Roman times such as bridges dating to the 1st and 2nd centuries along the ancient route of the Via Julia Augusta are still present.
A territory that stretches over 50 km and is divided into 5 hamlets: Valleggia, Quiliano, Montagna, Roviasca and Cadibona.
A community that played a decisive role in the Resistance period, recognized in 2024, with the Military Cross.
The city maintains important European relations, enshrined in two twinning arrangements-Ajdovščina (Slovenia), Fleurville (France).
A city with a strong environmental footprint, recognized with the “Flag of Sustainable Municipalities,” it has a centuries-old tradition marked by agriculture of excellence (apricot, peach, chinotto, olive, grenache).
Among the most recognizable monuments to date: Villa Maria, Church of St. Peter in Carpignano, the Tersè Teccio.
