Serdiana

There is no precise information on the historical origin of the center of Serdiana, the various hypotheses that are advanced are based on the discovery of various archaeological material during agricultural work.

Lithic objects have been found in the nearby countryside to testify to early Neolithic settlements.

The same excavations, carried out in the vicinity of the small country church of Santa Maria di Sibiola, where stone tools and other objects were found, document human presence since prehistoric times, as well as in the Nuragic period, the Phoenician-Punic period and, later, throughout the Roman period.
