A route along the ancient Via Labicana (formerly Casilina) to discover one of the pilgrim routes described in the Salzburg Itinerary. In addition to the places described in the itinerary (such as the Mausoleum of St. Helena and the Catacombs of Saints Marcellinus and Peter, both described from the outside without entering the monuments), the route intends to reread in a contemporary key the meaning of the pilgrimage of the ancient Romei, its being, besides being spiritual, a journey of formation, knowledge, and discovery. Through visiting fixed museums (M.A.U.M.I.) and widespread ones such as M.O.P.EC, neighborhoods, monuments and community places we will “open” the entire territory to the knowledge of visitors. A territory that becomes a widespread heritage and monument, capable of preserving the traits that the first pilgrims knew and open to the challenges of a complex future that, on these very roads, is outlining some possible scenarios.
